Travis Hunter Leads 2024 Heisman Trophy Odds as College Football Season Heats Up
As the 2024 college football season enters its final stretch, the race for the Heisman Trophy is intensifying, with Colorado‘s Travis Hunter emerging as the clear favorite. According to the latest odds from sportsbooks, Hunter is currently at -350, significantly ahead of the next closest contender.
Following closely behind Hunter is Ashton Jeanty from Boise State, who has odds of +380. Other notable candidates include Cameron Ward of Miami (FL) at +1300, Dillon Gabriel of Oregon at +2500, and Jalen Milroe of Alabama at +2800. These players are among the top tier of contenders vying for the prestigious award.
The odds have seen significant movement in recent weeks, with Virginia Tech‘s Kyron Drones experiencing the largest shift. Drones’ odds have dropped from +15000 to +50000, making him the 48th-ranked player in the Heisman Trophy odds list.
The Heisman Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding college football player, is highly anticipated this year with several talented athletes in the running. The final weeks of the season will be crucial in determining who will take home the coveted trophy.
In addition to Hunter and Jeanty, other players like Shedeur Sanders of Colorado, Cade Klubnik of Clemson, and Emeka Egbuka of Ohio State are also in contention, although their odds are significantly longer. The upcoming games, including Colorado’s matchup against Kansas and Alabama’s game against Oklahoma, will be pivotal in shaping the final Heisman Trophy landscape.
