Truck Driver Receives Warn Range Penalty After Highway 407 Rollover
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a truck driver narrowly escaped serious injury following a single-vehicle rollover incident on the eastbound lanes of Highway 407. The accident occurred near Keele Street on a Thursday morning.
According to OPP, the driver was found to be operating the truck with a blood alcohol concentration classified under the “warn range,” which is between 0.05 and 0.079. This resulted in a three-day suspension of the driver’s license, and as a consequence, the driver was also fined $250, which is part of the penalties for first-time offenders.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident, although the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is still ongoing. Police have assured that while one lane of the eastbound Highway 407 is currently open, clean-up operations are actively in progress to ensure road safety.
