Tua Tagovailoa Returning To Practice After Concussion

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is on the verge of returning to the field after a four-week absence due to a concussion. Tagovailoa suffered the concussion in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills and has been on injured reserve since then. However, according to recent reports, he is expected to return to practice following the Dolphins’ game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7.

The plan is for Tagovailoa to start practicing with the team next week, with the aim of starting in the Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals. This news is a significant boost for the Dolphins, who have struggled offensively in Tagovailoa’s absence. The team has averaged just 12 points per game, the worst rate in the NFL, and has relied on quarterbacks Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley to fill the gap.

Tagovailoa has met with several neurologists and has been cleared to return to the field, indicating that he has not had any lingering issues from the concussion. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has been cautious about the timeline, but all signs point to Tagovailoa’s return in Week 8.

In addition to Tagovailoa’s status, the Dolphins are also monitoring the health of other key players. Jevon Holland, who has a broken hand, and Emmanuel Ogbah, who was listed as a limited participant in practice, are both questionable for the game against the Colts. Holland’s injury was initially thought to be more severe, but he may be able to play with protective gear on his hand.

The return of Tagovailoa is crucial for the Dolphins’ offense, which has been one of the worst in the league during his absence. His health and performance will be closely watched as the team aims to stay in the playoff hunt.
