Chicago White Sox Game Highlights April 2025

CHICAGO, Illinois — The Chicago White Sox are having a tough start to the 2025 MLB season, struggling with a record of 5-17 as they continue their challenging 10-day road trip. After losing three of four to the Boston Red Sox, the White Sox aim to turn their luck around in a series against the Minnesota Twins.

In their latest matchup, the White Sox fell to the Red Sox 4-2 in Boston on Monday. Despite the team’s overall struggles, they have shown some strength against Boston this season, securing three of their five wins against the Red Sox. Chicago previously won two of three games against Boston during an April series.

Adding to their woes, the team is dealing with injuries, including that of left-handed pitcher Martín Pérez, who is on the 60-day injured list due to left elbow inflammation. Pérez previously delivered an impressive performance against the Twins, not allowing any hits over six innings in a 9-0 victory on March 31.

In contrast, the Minnesota Twins, currently sitting at 7-15, have also had their share of difficulties. The Twins were idle on Monday following a sweep in a three-game interleague series against the Atlanta Braves. Earlier this season, the Twins managed to take two of three games against the White Sox in Chicago.

Injuries also plague the Twins, including infielder Willi Castro, who has not played since April 16 due to right oblique tightness, and right-handed pitcher Pablo López, who is expected to return soon from a strained right hamstring.

Tonight, both teams look to turn their losing streaks around as they match up at Target Field, with Bailey Ober starting for the Twins.
