Two Arrested After Attempted Gun Shop Burglary Amid Hurricane Milton

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – Two men have been arrested in connection with attempted robberies at gun shops during Hurricane Milton last October, police reported.
Authorities arrested Camren Nasir Williams, 18, and Julien Jose Chalk, 22, between February 20 and February 26 on multiple charges, including shooting into a building and criminal mischief. The incidents occurred on October 10, 2024, shortly before dawn.
Surveillance footage from Red Dot Shooting Inc., located at 375 Richard Road in Rockledge, shows a red Nissan Sentra entering the parking lot around 4:49 a.m. Three suspects exited the vehicle, and Williams was seen armed with a rifle, firing several rounds at the storefront’s window. After the glass resisted, Williams attempted to breach it by striking it with the rifle butt and kicking it.
As the attempts failed, Chalk, who was identified as the vehicle’s driver, motioned for Williams to return to the car. The suspects fled the scene without entering the store.
Investigators later linked Williams and Chalk to another attempted burglary at Sicario’s Gun Shop in Melbourne, which occurred just 30 minutes before the Rockledge incident.
Authorities issued arrest warrants for the trio following a six-month investigation, with Williams and Chalk arrested during the week of February 25, 2025. The third suspect, whom authorities have not identified, is also facing charges related to the Melbourne incident.
Rockledge Police Department is currently working with Melbourne Police to investigate the incidents. However, they stated they do not yet have sufficient evidence to arrest the third suspect.
“This type of conduct is unacceptable in the City of Rockledge,” said Police Chief Christopher Crawford. “We hold our community to high standards and will pursue anyone engaging in criminal activities.”
The police continue to seek information regarding the break-ins and encourage anyone with knowledge of the events to contact Investigator P. Boldt at (321) 690-3988.
