Thomas, who is 35 years old, last played in the NBA in 2022 but showcased his skills in four recent games with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League, averaging an impressive 32.5 points.
Announced by the Suns on Wednesday, the signing of Thomas comes as a strategic step to add scoring depth off the bench as the team aims for a strong postseason push. Thomas previously played 46 games with the Suns during the 2014-15 season, where he maintained an average of 15.2 points per game.
With an illustrious career spanning 550 games, Thomas has garnered a career scoring average of 17.7 points. His experience includes stints with various teams such as the Sacramento Kings, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets.
