UFC 317 Faces Setback as Fighter Withdraws Before Major Event

Las Vegas, Nevada – The pay-per-view portion of UFC 317 has experienced a significant setback as a scheduled fight has collapsed. The highly anticipated UFC International Fight Week is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena at the end of June.
The main card was supposed to kick off with a matchup between Jhonata Diniz and his opponent, who was expected to enter with a perfect knockout rate. However, the fighter has withdrawn just weeks before the event, leaving fans and the promotion in search of a replacement.
The news of the withdrawal was first reported by the 4oz to Freedom podcast and later confirmed by other sources. This fighter was anticipated to face Diniz, who is looking to recover from a harsh defeat earlier this year at UFC 312, where he lost in just 35 seconds.
Diniz, who suffered his first career loss, will still fight on the June 28 card but now faces newcomer Alvin Hines. Hines brings an undefeated record of 7-0, with six victories achieved by knockout. He recently showcased his skills under the LFA banner, where he scored a third-round stoppage against Billy Ray Valdez.
The promotion has indicated they are working to adjust the lineup, possibly moving another match to the opening slot of the UFC 317 main card. A thrilling finish is still expected when Diniz and Hines step into the octagon.
