UFC Fighters Official Weights Released for Des Moines Event

Des Moines, Iowa – The official weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Figueiredo took place on May 2, 2025, ahead of the eagerly anticipated event at Wells Fargo Arena. Leading the fight card, No. 4 ranked bantamweight Cory Sandhagen weighed in at 135.5 pounds while former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo made weight at 135 pounds.

The weigh-ins confirmed the matchups for a packed night of fights, scheduled for May 3, with the main event set for five rounds. The co-main event features No. 13 ranked middleweight Reinier de Ridder, who tipped the scales at 185.5 pounds, taking on undefeated prospect Bo Nickal, who also weighed in at 185.5 pounds.

Additional weigh-in results included Santiago Ponzinibbio at 170 pounds facing Daniel Rodriguez at 170.5 pounds in the welterweight bout. In bantamweight contests, Montel Jackson weighed 136 pounds against Daniel Marcos at 135.5 pounds, and Cameron Smotherman at 135.5 pounds faced Serhiy Sidey, also at 135.5 pounds.

The women’s bantamweight bout saw Yana Santos come in at 136 pounds, while Miesha Tate weighed 135.5 pounds. In the women’s strawweight fight, Marina Rodriguez weighed 115.5 pounds, and Gillian Robertson also came in at 115.5 pounds.

Other notable fighters included Jeremy Stephens weighing 155 pounds against Mason Jones at 155.5 pounds, and Thomas Petersen at 250 pounds facing Don’Tale Mayes, who weighed 259 pounds. All fighters successfully made weight, ensuring that the matchups are official for the event.

This event marks the UFC’s debut in Des Moines and will be available on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, streaming the prelims at 7 PM ET and the main card at 10 PM ET.
