Ufc Rising Star Raul Rosas Jr. Withdraws Last Minute Due To Illness In Ufc Mexico City Event

Highly anticipated bout between UFC bantamweight prospects Raul Rosas Jr. and Christian Rodriguez took a surprising turn at the UFC Mexico City event on Saturday.

Rosas, the California-born fighter who represents Mexico and boasts an impressive 8-1 record, was unfortunately forced to withdraw at the last minute due to illness.

The crowd at Arena CDMX was left disappointed as the much-anticipated matchup between Rosas and Rodriguez was called off just moments before the fighters were set to enter the cage.

The UFC broadcast announced that the fight has been rescheduled for the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, giving fans hope of witnessing this thrilling clash in the near future.

At just 19 years old, Rosas is considered one of the brightest young talents in MMA, having signed with the UFC at the age of 17 and amassing a solid 2-1 record in the promotion with two finishes to his name.

Rodriguez, a 30-year-old Texan with a record of 12-3 and a victory in ‘The Ultimate Fighter‘ tournament in 2021, was left without an opponent for the night but will now have his chance to face Rosas in the rescheduled bout next week.
