Upcoming Street Lighting And Path Improvements In Oban Neighborhoods

Residents in select neighborhoods of Oban, including Nant Drive, Lonan Drive, Orchy Gardens, Creran Gardens, Ure Gardens, Coe Gardens, and Etive Gardens, are set to witness a significant infrastructure upgrade with upcoming street lighting and path improvements.

A recent announcement by Malcolm Cullen, the team leader at Argyll and Bute Council, outlined the plans to replace aging lighting infrastructure with a modern system and resurface sections of paths in the designated areas.

The project is scheduled to commence on Monday, April 8th, with an estimated timeline of four months for completion. However, the work will be carried out sequentially in different sections to minimize disruptions.

Residents have been advised to refrain from parking on the road during the construction period and ensure that any overhanging bushes or foliage are trimmed to facilitate the work.

According to the communication from Malcolm Cullen, the council aims to avoid traffic disturbances, with only brief instances where driveways might be temporarily blocked as excavation work is conducted.
