As of July 30, 2024, the United States sits in the sixth spot of the overall medal standings. They’ve managed to gather a total of 20 medals – that includes 3 golds, 8 silvers, and 9 bronzes. While they are not at the top just yet, there’s still plenty of competition left.

Among the standout performances so far, Caeleb Dressel secured the first gold medal for the United States in the men’s 100-meter freestyle on July 28, 2024. He really set the tone for the rest of the team, proving that they mean business.

The following day, on July 29, 2024, Torri Huske contributed another gold to the tally by winning it in the women’s 100-meter butterfly. The third gold medal came from Lee Kiefer in the Women’s Foil Individual competition. It’s safe to say that the swimmers and fencers are making waves!

Beyond the golds, Team USA is also racking up silvers and bronzes across various sports. For instance, Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook grabbed a silver medal in Women’s springboard 3m synchronized diving, while Chloe Dygert captured a bronze in the women’s individual time trial in cycling.

As the games continue, there are still plenty of events yet to unfold, including badminton and rowing competitions. The excitement is palpable as fans eagerly await to see if the United States can climb higher in the medal count and achieve even more success.
