Usa Wins Gold In Men's 4x400m Relay

Team USA brought home the gold in the men’s 4×400-meter relay at the Paris Olympics, finishing in an impressive Olympic record time of 2:54.43.

The U.S. team, made up of Christopher Bailey, Vernon Norwood, Bryce Deadmon, and anchorman Rai Benjamin, pulled off a thrilling race that had fans on their feet.

As the race neared its end, Benjamin was in a fierce battle against Botswana‘s Letsile Tebogo, who had previously won gold in the 200m. Despite Tebogo’s best efforts, Benjamin managed to hold him off and secure victory for the United States.

Botswana took home the silver medal with a new African record of 2:54.53, while Great Britain nabbed bronze with a European record time of 2:55.83.

This victory marks the 19th gold medal for the U.S. in this event’s history at the Olympics, a testament to their strong tradition in the 4×400-meter relay.

Benjamin expressed his joy after the race, stating that his strategy was to save energy for the sprint at the end, which ultimately led to their win.
