Lincoln Riley Usc Football Coach

Los Angeles, California – Lincoln Riley, head coach of the University of Southern California‘s football team, earned a reported total compensation of more than $11.5 million in 2023, according to federal tax returns revealed by the university. This substantial income included over $10.2 million in base salary, a $100,000 bonus, and $1.15 million from other reportable compensation.

Riley, who also owes $3.43 million on a housing loan, has faced challenges during his tenure at USC. After a successful 2022 season where the Trojans finished with an 11-3 record and reached the Cotton Bowl, expectations fell during the 2023 season. USC recorded only an 8-5 record, marking a disappointing conclusion to star quarterback Caleb Williams‘ college career.

Looking to 2024, the situation deteriorated further, as the Trojans ended with a 7-6 record amid inconsistent quarterback play. Despite these setbacks, there’s a glimmer of hope for the team. USC is primed for a potential turnaround in 2025 with a promising quarterback and a strong recruiting class, including the top class for 2026.

As for Riley, the pressure is now on him to start delivering results that match his hefty salary. The coming seasons will be critical in shaping the trajectory of his USC coaching career.
