Usmnt Concacaf Nations League Roster Announcement

CHICAGO (March 11, 2025) – U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Mauricio Pochettino has unveiled a 23-player roster set to compete in the Concacaf Nations League semifinals, facing Panama on March 20 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The U.S. will aim for its fourth consecutive title in the tournament, having previously triumphed in both 2021, 2022, and 2023. Pochettino’s squad will begin training in Los Angeles on March 16 as they prepare for what they see as a significant opportunity to secure another trophy.

“This is a massive opportunity to win a trophy and that is our clear objective,” Pochettino said. “We must continue to show our quality, our bravery and our commitment to each other.”

Notably, Tyler Adams returns to the team after recovering from injuries sustained following the 2022 World Cup. Adams had back surgery last summer but is ready to contribute once again. “He is a very good player, but of course he needs to prove that he’s better than the others,” Pochettino noted.

Gio Reyna, also included in the roster, has seen limited playing time with Borussia Dortmund, but Pochettino believes he can reinvigorate the U.S. attack. “It’s true that maybe he’s not playing too much, but I think for us he’s a great player,” Pochettino stated.

The U.S. roster includes players with extensive CNL experience, with 16 members having participated in at least one previous finals. Six players have taken part in all three editions: Weston McKennie, Yunus Musah, Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna, Antonee Robinson, and Tim Weah.

The roster’s average age is 26 years and 20 days, with an average of 28 international caps. Clubs from nine different countries are represented, including five players from Major League Soccer.

The U.S. enters the semifinal as the only nation to have won the Concacaf Nations League title since its inception. They seek to build on the momentum of their past three victories when they face Panama, whom they have met in tournament play 13 times, holding a 6-2-5 record.

Pochenttino highlighted, “We have an important moment to represent our country and our supporters, and we are very excited for this opportunity,” as the team gears up for an important match in a tournament where they have already made their mark.

The matchup against Panama kicks off at 7 p.m. ET. The other semifinal pits Mexico against Canada, with the championship match set for March 23.
