Utah Jazz Rookie Isaiah Collier Stuns with Tomahawk Dunk Against Pacers
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz rookie guard Isaiah Collier electrified fans with a jaw-dropping tomahawk dunk during Saturday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers at the Delta Center. The 6-foot-3 guard, known for his athleticism, made his mark despite a slow start in scoring, finishing the first half with six assists and a steal.
Collier’s dunk, his only points of the first half, came as he capitalized on an open lane provided by the Pacers’ defense. The highlight-reel play quickly went viral on social media, with the Utah Jazz’s official account posting multiple angles of the slam. “Zay brought the hammer to work,” the team tweeted, celebrating the rookie’s explosive moment.
The Jazz, led by veterans Jordan Clarkson and John Collins, who scored 17 and 11 points respectively, held a narrow 61-57 lead at halftime. The team was looking to snap a season-long losing streak after securing a win against the Orlando Magic earlier in the week.
Indiana, however, posed a significant challenge. The Pacers entered the game on a hot streak, winning 11 of their last 13 games in 2025. Despite the Jazz’s recent struggles, they have historically performed well against Indiana, winning three of their last four matchups over the past two seasons.
Saturday’s game marked the first of two meetings between the teams this season, with the Jazz set to visit Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on April 4. The game was broadcast on KJZZ, streamed on SEG+, and available via radio.
Collier, the Jazz’s first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has shown flashes of his potential throughout the season. While dunks are rare for the 6-foot-3 guard, his athleticism continues to turn heads. “Whenever the slams come, they usually look pretty nice,” one analyst noted.
The Jazz’s performance against the Pacers could be a turning point as they aim to climb out of the Western Conference standings. With back-to-back wins within reach for the first time in a month, Utah’s young core, led by Collier, is looking to build momentum as the season progresses.
