HERRIMAN, Utah (Thursday, June 5, 2025) – Utah Royals FC is set to face Racing Louisville in a crucial National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) match on Friday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. MT. The game will take place at Lynn Family Stadium in Kentucky.

The Royals enter the match struggling after a 3-1 loss at home against Orlando Pride. In that game, Utah fell behind early but equalized thanks to Brecken Mozingo’s goal. However, the Pride’s Barbra Banda quickly responded with a first-half hat trick, leaving the Royals unable to recover.

This will be the second meeting between these teams this season. In their first clash on April 20, Utah lost 5-1 to Louisville, with rookie Olivia Griffitts scoring the lone goal. The Royals redeemed themselves in the return match on September 28, securing a 1-0 victory at home courtesy of Ana Tejeda‘s goal.

Racing Louisville comes into the match on a high note, following a dramatic 3-2 victory against Angel City FC. Though they played with ten players for most of the second half due to Kayla Fischer‘s red card, Louisville managed to seal the win with resilience. Their recent form shows three wins and one draw in the last five matches, positioning them eighth in the NWSL standings.

Fans can catch the match live on KMYU or stream it on NWSL+. Additional coverage is available on KSL Sports Radio. Following this match, the Royals will return home to host the 2023 NWSL champions, Gotham FC, on June 13 for Pride Night.
