LAS VEGAS, March 7, 2025 — In a thrilling main event at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 10, Victor Hugo defeated Nicky Rodriguez by submission in overtime, marking a significant moment as it handed Rodriguez his first loss in the Invitational in over two years.

Rodriguez, who entered the match boasting a 7-1 record, faced Hugo, the last competitor to defeat him in a previous bout. Hugo, a former world champion, came into this match undefeated in the UFC Fight Pass Invitational series and looking to prove he is among the sport’s elite.

The match began with Hugo quickly pulling Rodriguez into his guard, forcing Rodriguez to navigate a series of grappling exchanges. After a stalemate, the referee opted to reset the fighters on their feet. However, they soon re-engaged, continuing a back-and-forth struggle until the regulation time expired.

As the match moved into overtime, Rodriguez attempted to secure an early takedown, but Hugo successfully defended.
