Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker, has expressed his happiness after scoring his first two goals for Turkish club Galatasaray. The goals came during a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa at Rams Park. Osimhen joined the team on loan from Napoli during the summer transfer window, with high expectations resting on the 25-year-old’s shoulders due to his successful stint in Serie A.

Osimhen’s start at Galatasaray had been slow, as he had failed to score in his first three appearances, although he managed to contribute with four assists. He started to make an impact by scoring his first goal just 20 minutes into the match and followed up with a second one only eight minutes later.

Despite his strong performance in the first half, Osimhen had to leave the field at halftime after sustaining an injury. Without him, Galatasaray struggled and ultimately had to settle for a draw against Kasimpasa.

Following the game, Osimhen expressed his excitement via social media, where he conveyed his gratitude towards the fans for their unwavering support. He stated, “It was a great honor to score two goals in today’s match, but I was disappointed that we couldn’t secure the victory. We gave it our all and I’m sure we will come back stronger as a team. Dear Galatasaray fans, your support means the world to us, and we will not stop fighting to make you all proud. Thank you for your cheers and incredible love. We are just getting started!”

The extent of Osimhen’s injury remains unclear, as the player and his team hope for a quick recovery. Galatasaray’s next challenge will be a Europa League fixture against RFS.
