Victor Osimhen Al Ahli Transfer News

Victor Osimhen is on the verge of finalizing a significant transfer to the Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli from Napoli for a reported fee of £67.3 million. This development comes as Chelsea Football Club appears to have missed out on securing the Nigerian striker, who had been a key target for them throughout the summer transfer window.

Al Ahli, having shown interest in Osimhen for an extended period, has successfully negotiated a four-year contract with the player. The contract is said to be worth approximately £33.6 million per season, equating to roughly £646,154 per week, and is tax-free. It has also been reported that the deal includes a release clause.

Osimhen is scheduled to undergo a medical examination with Al Ahli on Friday. Napoli had expressed a preference for Osimhen to join the Saudi club above all other potential moves.

Prior to agreeing to the transfer, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, had stated that the striker still had objectives to achieve in Europe. This comment had prompted further interest from Chelsea as they aimed to finalize a transfer that would meet both the player’s needs and the club’s wage structure.

Following Chelsea’s failure to secure Osimhen, attention may now turn to other potential targets, including Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who is considered a viable option to fulfill Chelsea’s pressing need for a reliable goalscorer.

The impending closure of the Saudi Pro League transfer window on Monday adds urgency to the situation, as Chelsea will need to act swiftly if they wish to bring in a suitable forward before the deadline.
