Nfl Draft Trade Details 2025

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings officially completed their trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars that occurred during the 2024 NFL Draft. The deal, which included picks in the coming 2025 NFL Draft, was finalized on April 25, 2025.

The Vikings traded their 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and additional picks for the 17th overall selection, which they used to select Alabama pass rusher Dallas Turner.

The Jaguars received the 23rd overall pick and the Vikings’ fifth-round selection, as well as third and fourth-round picks in 2025. At 23, Jacksonville selected Brian Thomas Jr., a wide receiver who quickly became a star in his rookie year.

Thomas caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns and was a standout on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Meanwhile, Robinson, a running back picked at number 167, played six games for Jacksonville, contributing on special teams.

As part of the deal, the Jaguars also hold two more picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Their third-round selection, 88th overall, was used to acquire cornerback Caleb Ranshaw from Tulane. Jacksonville continues to shape its roster as it capitalizes on the successful draft.

Turner made his presence felt on the Vikings roster, appearing in all 16 games, with statistics that included an interception, three sacks, and 20 tackles. Despite the successful selection of Turner, many analysts believe Thomas greatly outperformed him, making it a favorable trade for the Jaguars.

With further selections still pending for both teams, fans and analysts alike look forward to how these picks will shape their futures.
