Vinícius Jr. Contract Negotiation Real Madrid

Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid forward Vinícius Jr. is close to signing a new contract that would keep him at the club until 2030, according to sources. A meeting between the player’s representatives and club executives took place this week, and both sides are nearing an agreement.

If finalized, the deal would see Vinícius earning €20 million ($22.5 million) per season after tax, potentially rising to €30 million ($33.8 million) with bonuses. This contract would make him the highest-paid player at Real Madrid.

Vinícius’ current deal, which ends in June 2027, was established in 2022 and formalized a year later. He has since established himself as one of the best players globally, winning prestigious awards such as being a runner-up in the Ballon d'Or last year.

Previously, he had considered moves, including one to Saudi Arabia last summer, but he decided to postpone any decisions on his future. However, recent reports indicate that there has been no new contact from the Saudi clubs, while negotiations with Real Madrid continue.

The proposed contract includes a structure that emphasizes bonuses, allowing the club to meet Vinícius’ wage expectations without heavily impacting its wage system.

Since joining Real Madrid as a teenager in 2018, Vinícius has helped lead the team to three La Liga titles and two Champions League victories, scoring in both final matches. Despite facing criticism this season, he has netted 11 goals in 28 league appearances and an impressive eight goals in 12 Champions League games.
