SYDNEY, Australia – The nominees for the January/February Shark Player of the Month award in the Ninja A-League have been announced, inviting fans to cast their votes for their favorite players. The voting period will close on February 6 at 9 a.m. AEDT.

Throughout the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season, 10 players are selected each month for the Shark Player of the Month award based on their FotMob ratings. The selection process involves identifying players who have achieved the highest FotMob ratings during the eligibility period, which for January and February includes Rounds 13-16, with performances registered between January 24 and February 16.

To qualify, players must have made at least two appearances during this timeframe to acquire a reliable average FotMob rating. The following players have been nominated for January/February:

1. Emily Condon (Adelaide United) – FotMob Rating: 8.19

2. Alex Chidiac (Melbourne Victory) – FotMob Rating: 8.02

3. Holly McNamara (Melbourne City) – FotMob Rating: 7.86

4. Ella Tonkin (Adelaide United) – FotMob Rating: 7.81

5. Erin Healy (Adelaide United) – FotMob Rating: 7.80

6. Annalie Longo (Wellington Phoenix) – FotMob Rating: 7.77

7. Taylor Otto (Melbourne City) – FotMob Rating: 7.76

8. Mariana Speckmaier (Melbourne City) – FotMob Rating: 7.65

9. Rhianna Pollicina (Melbourne City) – FotMob Rating: 7.64

10. Bianca Galic (Central Coast Mariners) – FotMob Rating: 7.64

The FotMob ratings are determined by a sophisticated algorithm developed by Opta and Stats Perform, which encapsulates a plethora of statistics to accurately assess each player’s performance based on their position. This rating system is recognized for its reliability among media outlets, clubs, and scouting professionals globally.
