Corey Kispert Washington Wizards Contract Extension

Washington Wizards forward Corey Kispert has agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract extension, as announced by his agents, Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of Priority Sports, to ESPN‘s Shams Charania. This deal was finalized ahead of the 6 p.m. ET deadline for rookie extensions on October 21, 2024.

Kispert, 24, is coming off a strong season where he averaged a career-high 13.4 points per game, shooting 38.3% from three-point range on six attempts per game. He particularly excelled in the latter part of the season, starting 19 consecutive games and averaging 17.2 points on 50.8% shooting from the field and 43.9% from three-point range during that period.

The Washington Wizards drafted Kispert out of Gonzaga University with the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NBA draft. This contract extension reflects the team’s confidence in his growth and potential as a key contributor to the Wizards’ roster.
