West Ham United Vs Fulham Premier League Match

LONDON, England — West Ham United will face Fulham in a crucial Premier League clash on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at London Stadium, as head coach Graham Potter grapples with a mounting injury crisis in his squad.

The Hammers, currently 14th in the league with 23 points, will be without key striker Niclas Füllkrug, who suffered a hamstring injury during their recent FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa. Füllkrug joins Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio on the sidelines, while Crysencio Summerville remains a doubt after being substituted at halftime in the same match.

“It’s a significant injury for Füllkrug,” Potter confirmed. “We’re still awaiting a full diagnosis, but it’s likely to keep him out for several weeks. Summerville’s situation is less severe, but he’s unlikely to feature against Fulham.”

Potter emphasized the need for creativity in his lineup, with attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus and forward Lucas Paquetá among the options to fill the void. “Mo has the capability to step up, and Lucas can play there too. Danny Ings is also an important part of the squad,” he added.

Fulham, sitting 9th in the league with 30 points, will be looking to capitalize on West Ham’s weakened attack. Manager Marco Silva has a fully fit squad, with striker Raúl Jiménez leading the line. The Cottagers have been in strong form, winning three of their last five league matches.

Referee Craig Pawson will officiate the match, with Stuart Attwell serving as the video assistant referee. The game kicks off at 19:45 GMT.

West Ham’s recent form has been inconsistent, with just one win in their last six matches across all competitions. Fulham, meanwhile, has shown resilience, drawing twice and winning three times in the same period. The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw in September 2024.

Potter remains optimistic despite the challenges. “Every player is important, and we have the depth to compete. We’ll need to be at our best to get a result against a strong Fulham side,” he said.
