Wet Friday Forecast: Rain, Wind, and Temperature Drop Ahead

Boston, Massachusetts — A wet Friday morning is in store for residents across southern New England, with rain and fog expected to persist before sunrise. Showers are anticipated to taper off by lunchtime, leading to clearing skies this afternoon.
According to meteorologists, wind gusts reaching 30 to 40 mph will accompany the weather change, making for a blustery finish to the week. Temperatures will hover in the middle 40s, offering a stark contrast to the highs expected over the weekend.
Looking ahead to Saturday, forecasters predict an increase in cloud cover as a cold front approaches the region. While a spot shower is possible in the evening, most communities will primarily experience a surge of clouds.
“After experiencing highs in the 60s on Saturday, residents should brace for temperatures dropping down into the 40s on Sunday,” said Shiri Spear, Boston 25 News meteorologist. “However, it does look like Sunday will bring plenty of sunshine.”
As we shift into next week, Monday may start with a brief burst of snow before transitioning to plain rain. Some towns could witness a wash-away coating in the morning, with experts projecting approximately 1/2 inch of rain throughout the day.
The upcoming weather will indeed test residents’ adaptability, but it’s not uncommon for New England to showcase predicable seasonal shifts.
