Chicago White Sox Nba Uniform

Chicago, IL  — The Chicago White Sox are set to debut a groundbreaking City Connect uniform on Friday, combining elements of both MLB and the NBA. This innovative on-field jersey marries the iconic styles of the White Sox and Chicago Bulls, featuring signature pinstripes that are a hallmark of both franchises.

Jon Shoemaker, executive director of creative services for the Bulls, expressed pride in the collaboration. “While collaborating with the White Sox on the design, our shared goal was clear that we wanted to honor our city and its great fans with an MLB jersey that reflects our mutual connection to and love for Chicago,” Shoemaker said in a news release.

The new jerseys include elements both teams share, such as pinstripes, alongside unique features like the ‘Chicago’ wordmark and the Bulls’ iconic red and black colors. The Bulls originally introduced their alternate black pinstripe uniforms in 1995, establishing a legacy that continues to resonate with fans.

The uniform’s design also incorporates a newly conceived winged sock on the “bred” cap and sleeve, drawing inspiration from the White Sox’s 1950s era. The hat’s interior features a white design with black pinstripes, emphasizing the “Southside” reference from the White Sox’s first City Connect jersey.

Adding to the jersey’s appeal, the White Sox make MLB history by becoming the first team to offer two distinct City Connect caps. The second cap mirrors the uniform’s red and black tones and includes four stars, honoring Chicago’s rich heritage.

Additionally, the jersey pays homage to the White Sox’s past with “Southside” featured on the sleeve and pant leg. Notably, the neckline commemorates the combined nine championships won by the Bulls and White Sox.
