Willie Gay Jr. Signs One-Year Deal with Miami Dolphins

MIAMI, Fla. — Veteran linebacker Willie Gay Jr. has signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. The 27-year-old brings with him four seasons of NFL experience, having previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints.

Gay’s move to the Dolphins follows a challenging season in New Orleans where he played 15 games and made eight starts, recording 28 tackles, two sacks, three passes defensed, and one forced fumble. He had the least amount of playing time in his career, leading to disappointing statistics after a breakout year with Kansas City.
