Wisconsin Faces Providence in Rady Children’s Invitational Showdown
San Diego, CA – The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team is set to compete against the Providence Friars in the Rady Children’s Invitational on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 4:30 PM CT.
This matchup marks an opportunity for the Badgers, who are currently 4-1, to bounce back after a tough loss to No. 9 BYU, where they fell 98-70 last Friday. Junior Nolan Winter recorded a double-double in that game, leading the team with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Providence enters the game with a hot streak, averaging 94 points in their last five contests. Their leading scorer, Jason Edwards, is averaging 19.3 points per game. Estonian freshman Stefan Vaaks has emerged as a key player for the Friars, contributing 14.8 points per game.
Greg Gard, head coach of the Badgers, is looking to secure a victory in this holiday tournament, aiming for the team’s third consecutive championship win at such events. UW has been successful in holiday tournaments in recent years, claiming seven titles in the past 19 years.
The game will take place at the Jenny Craig Pavilion, and fans can catch the action on FS1. Following this game, the Badgers could face either No. 10 Florida or TCU in the next round of the tournament.
If Wisconsin wins, they will progress to the championship game, scheduled for November 28 at 4:30 PM CT. A loss will send them to the consolation game that same day at 2 PM CT.
