2025 WNBA Draft Live Coverage Set for April 14 on ESPN

NEW YORK, April 14, 2025 – ESPN will broadcast the 2025 WNBA Draft live from the Shed at Hudson Yards starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can expect extensive pre-draft and live coverage of the event, which will be hosted by Ryan Ruocco alongside analysts Rebecca Lobo and Andraya Carter, and reporter Holly Rowe.
After last year’s successful debut, WNBA Countdown Presented by Google will return once again, kicking off the evening’s festivities at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Elle Duncan will host the pre-draft show along with analysts Chiney Ogwumike and Andraya Carter. Coverage will feature a profile on Paige Bueckers, projected as the No. 1 overall pick, and interviews with the top prospects attending the event.
ESPN is expanding its on-site coverage this year, which includes the arrival of draft prospects on the iconic WNBA Orange Carpet. During the draft, the network plans to give fans a comprehensive view from various angles and insights into the behind-the-scenes actions.
The 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter will also be co-hosted by Duncan live from The Shed, enhancing overall coverage. Duncan will be joined by Carter and Ogwumike to provide fans with detailed insights into the WNBA Draft, including analysis and commentary on potential strategies for the teams.
All coverage will be available via the ESPN App, ensuring fans can follow the event closely. The Dallas Wings hold the first selection in the draft, and teams await the talent pool, which includes international and NCAA prospects such as Dominique Malonga, Sonia Citron, and Kiki Iriafen.
