Woman Arrested for Stabbing Man in Allentown
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police have arrested a woman following a stabbing incident that occurred Tuesday morning in an apartment on Linden Street. Cassarah Brown, 32, is accused of stabbing a 38-year-old man during a dispute.
Officers arrived at the scene after a report of the stabbing came in, the Allentown Police Department stated in a news release. They found the man suffering from a minor stab wound to his left hand.
According to police, the victim had gone to Brown’s home, where she was reportedly destroying his belongings. The two were previously in a romantic relationship but did not live together.
Police reports say the stabbing occurred when the victim attempted to kiss Brown, leading to the incident. Authorities recovered the knife believed to be used in the attack.
Brown was taken into custody at the scene and is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment. She was arraigned before District Judge Rashid Santiago, who set bail at 10 percent of $7,500. Brown was unable to post bail at the time and was held in custody.
The victim’s injuries are considered minor, and he has since received treatment. Brown is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on November 24, where a judge will decide if there is enough evidence to proceed with the case in the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas.
