WrestleMania 42 Announced for New Orleans in 2026

NEW ORLEANS, La. — WWE has officially announced that WrestleMania 42 will take place at the Caesars Superdome on April 11 and 12, 2026. This event marks the third time New Orleans will host WWE’s flagship event, as the city previously welcomed WrestleMania in 2014 and 2018.
The announcement was made by wrestling superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson during the live broadcast of WWE SmackDown on Friday evening. Johnson’s appearance in New Orleans, where SmackDown was held, provided an opportune moment to reveal the long-anticipated venue for the upcoming WrestleMania.
New Orleans has a storied history with the event. WrestleMania 30 in 2014 is particularly notable for its historic matches, including Daniel Bryan’s remarkable journey to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The event also featured the end of The Undertaker’s legendary winning streak. WrestleMania 34 in 2018 showcased the debut of Ronda Rousey, along with another iconic matchup in which Brock Lesnar retained his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
“New Orleans is a city filled with energy and excitement, which perfectly matches the spirit of WrestleMania,” WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon said in a statement. “We can’t wait to bring this event back to the fans who have embraced the WWE and its Superstars over the years.”
With the Caesars Superdome undergoing recent renovations to enhance the experience for fans, enthusiasm is already building for what promises to be an extraordinary two-night spectacle. WWE has transitioned WrestleMania into a two-night format since 2020, and 2026 will continue this trend.
Fans can expect thrilling matches, high-profile appearances, and various entertainment features leading up to and during WrestleMania weekend. Tickets and additional details will be announced in the coming months as the event draws closer.
As WrestleMania 41 approaches, set for April 19 and 20 in Las Vegas, anticipation grows for who will headline WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans. The potential for surprise appearances, legendary matches, and engaging storylines adds to the excitement surrounding the announcement.
