Wrestling Veteran PCO’s Shocking TNA Exit After Unauthorized Stunt
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Wrestling veteran PCO, real name Carl Ouellet, made headlines after an unauthorized stunt during a TNA event on Jan. 20, 2025, leading to his immediate departure from the company. The 56-year-old wrestler, who won a battle royale to open the show, reportedly smashed a championship belt without prior approval, a move that has left the wrestling world buzzing.
PCO, who had been with TNA since 2022, is no longer under contract with the company as of the start of 2025. The incident occurred during a live broadcast, and sources indicate that TNA officials were blindsided by the act. Tommy Dreamer, a backstage official at TNA and co-host of a popular wrestling radio show, shared his reaction to the stunt. “I was told what happened when I got off the panel, and I was like, ‘Okay. Guess he went PCO-crazy,'” Dreamer said. “Move forward and pivot. [It was] not an angle — just something that happened.”
Dreamer speculated that PCO’s actions were intended to make a statement as his time with TNA came to an end. However, he noted that such stunts no longer carry the same impact they once did. “Back in the day, when Madusa dumped the WWF Women's Championship into a trash can on WCW television, it was a big deal. Now, it’s just noise,” Dreamer added.
PCO, who has been wrestling since 1988, is best known for his WWE run as one-half of The Quebecers. He joined TNA in 2022 and quickly became a fan favorite, known for his hardcore style and dramatic performances. His departure marks the end of a three-year stint with the company, during which he competed in high-profile matches, including a main event at Double or Nothing 2019 against Kenny Omega.
As of now, PCO has not publicly commented on the incident or his departure from TNA. Fans and industry insiders are left wondering what the future holds for the wrestling veteran, whose career has spanned over three decades.
