WWE and AAA Joint Event Sets YouTube Viewership Record

STAMFORD, Conn. – WWE announced today that its first joint Premium Live Event with the Mexican wrestling promotion AAA, titled Worlds Collide, set a record for the largest live audience in company history for a YouTube broadcast. The event, which took place on June 8, 2025, peaked at 764,389 live concurrent viewers during the main event involving AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo and WWE superstar Chad Gable.
Still available for free on YouTube, the show has captivated audiences, gathering over 4.1 million views within the first 24 hours. Fans and journalists alike praised the broadcast, which sparked excitement on social media. The hashtag #WorldsCollide trended globally on X, generating over 32 million interactions across all platforms in the same timeframe.
Wrestlers from both WWE and AAA engaged in a series of high-stakes matches, with several legendary luchadors making an impressive debut to American audiences. Notably, Mr. Iguana became an overnight sensation among WWE fans, prompting the release of merchandise featuring him on the WWE online store.
The main event between El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable was particularly highlighted as one of WWE’s best matches of the year. In April, WWE announced its acquisition of AAA in partnership with Fillip, a Mexican sports and entertainment holding company, indicating that this collaboration will continue with future events.
The next major event featuring talents from WWE and AAA will be Triplemanía Regia on June 15, where wrestlers from TNA, WWE, and AAA are set to perform together for the first time.
Worlds Collide can still be watched for free on WWE’s YouTube channel, offering both English and Spanish commentary for viewers worldwide.
