Rikishi And Jey Uso Wwe Wrestlemania 41

STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi could make a dramatic return to the ring after a four-year absence to assist his son, Jey Uso, in a potential WrestleMania 41 showdown against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The speculation comes after Jey Uso won the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, earning a title shot at the upcoming event.

Jey Uso, who has lost three consecutive matches to Gunther, hinted on RAW this week that he plans to challenge for a championship at WrestleMania 41. However, facing Gunther alone could prove difficult, as The Ring General has consistently dominated their previous encounters. Wrestling insiders suggest Rikishi, who last appeared in WWE in 2020, might return to even the odds.

Rikishi, a key figure in WWE history, has been rumored to make a comeback multiple times in recent years. During the Bloodline saga, there were whispers he might lead Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline 2.0 or replace Paul Heyman as Roman Reigns‘ advisor. However, the most plausible scenario now involves him aiding his son in a high-stakes match against Gunther and his Imperium stablemate, Ludwig Kaiser.

On his podcast, Off the Top, Rikishi expressed immense pride in Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble victory, calling it an emotional moment for the family. “This one here was [very] emotional. You see your kid… It was the type of vibe too when they both wrestled each other at WrestleMania,” he said, reflecting on his children’s wrestling careers and the struggles they endured growing up.

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo has also weighed in, predicting that WWE plans for Jey Uso to dethrone Gunther at WrestleMania 41. “They’ve already gone down the road and Gunther has already stated that Jey Uso has faced him a couple of times and never beaten him. So, I think they’ve set that up for WrestleMania,” Russo said.

If Rikishi does return, it would mark a significant moment in WWE history, blending family legacy with high-stakes drama. Fans will have to wait until WrestleMania 41 to see if the Hall of Famer steps back into the spotlight to help his son claim his first world championship.
