WWE’s Night of Champions Set for Riyadh in June

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – WWE will host its Night of Champions event at the Kingdom Arena on Saturday, June 28. This will be the second time this premium live event has taken place in Saudi Arabia, with the last edition held in Jeddah in 2023.
The Night of Champions will be the only premium live event in Saudi Arabia this year. WWE plans to bring the Royal Rumble to the Kingdom in January 2025. Interestingly, the traditional Crown Jewel event has been relocated to Perth, Australia, for one year only.
One notable detail from the event’s promotional video is the brief appearance of CM Punk. Punk, who has been vocal about his opposition to working events in Saudi Arabia, has not participated in any since rejoining WWE in 2023. He was excused from appearing on television last year during the Crown Jewel aftermath, following his Hell In A Cell match with Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood.
It is unclear whether Punk’s inclusion in the promo was an oversight or an indication that he might return at Night of Champions. Attending the event shortly after the Money In The Bank, which takes place on June 7 in Los Angeles, raises further speculation.
The last Night of Champions event was headlined by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defending the WWE Tag Team Titles against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The anticipation for the upcoming event continues to grow amongst WWE fans, especially with the recent changes in event locations.
