WWE NXT: Lexis King Retains Heritage Cup in Action-Packed Episode

WINTER PARK, Florida — WWE NXT showcased an exhilarating episode on February 11, 2025, leading into the upcoming Vengeance Day event. Lexis King defended his NXT Heritage Cup championship against JDC, also known as TNA’s Fandango, while Cora Jade put on an impressive performance against her former idol, Bayley.
The night’s main card featured King retaining his championship, a fast-paced triple-threat tag match, and an intense steel cage matchup for the NXT North American Championship. In a bout that lived up to its hype, King secured victory over JDC with his finishing move, the Coronation, solidifying his status in the NXT division.
“The competition was tough, but I came prepared,” King said during a post-match interview. “Every title defense is a testament to my hard work and dedication.”
Earlier in the evening, Bayley faced off against Jade in a one-on-one match, a contest marked by its emotional undertone. Jade earned a decisive victory over Bayley with a DDT, further intensifying the rivalry between the two women.
“This victory is a step towards my goal of becoming the champion,” Jade stated as she celebrated her win. NXT general manager Ava Raine later announced that Jade would join Bayley and Roxanne Perez in a Fatal Four-Way championship match at Vengeance Day.
The triple-threat tag team match that featured Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura versus Hank and Tank versus Myles Borne and Tavion Heights was another highlight. Briggs and Inamura emerged victorious, securing a title shot against Fraxiom at the upcoming event.
“We’ve built a strong synergy, and tonight proved our potential as a tag team. We will give Fraxiom a run for their money,” Briggs remarked.
In the main event, Tony D’Angelo defended his NXT North American Championship against Ridge Holland in a cage match. After a relentless battle that saw both competitors use the cage to their advantage, D’Angelo secured the win via a spinebuster.
“It feels great to walk away still champion,” D’Angelo said post-match. “But the fight isn’t over; there are many challengers waiting.”
The episode concluded with a shocking twist as Izzi Dame betrayed The D’Angelo Family, aligning herself with Shawn Spears and his associates, further complicating the NXT landscape.
As NXT gears up for Vengeance Day on February 15, viewers can expect heightened tensions and rivalries as superstars prepare for their championship battles.
