WWE Raw: Royal Rumble Winners Set Stage for WrestleMania Showdowns
CLEVELAND, Ohio — WWE Monday Night Raw returned to the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Feb. 3, 2025, with a packed lineup following the Royal Rumble premium live event. The show featured appearances from both Royal Rumble winners, Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair, as well as the start of Elimination Chamber qualifiers, setting the stage for WrestleMania season.
Jey Uso, fresh off his Royal Rumble victory, opened the show to a roaring crowd. The “Main Event” Jey Uso entered through the concourse, soaking in the adoration of fans before addressing his historic win. “I came into this game 15 years ago trying to make a good living with my brother and carry on the family legacy,” Uso said. “Now, I’m walking into WrestleMania as the Royal Rumble winner, and I’m walking out as a champion.”
World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER interrupted Uso, dismissing the potential matchup as unappealing. “Beating Jey at WrestleMania adds nothing to my legacy,” GUNTHER said. “If you choose me, every week will be hell, and WrestleMania will be the most violent outpouring this business has ever seen.” Uso fired back, declaring his intent to prove his critics wrong and secure a championship victory at WrestleMania.
Elsewhere, Elimination Chamber qualifiers kicked off with high-stakes matches. CM Punk faced Sami Zayn, while Liv Morgan battled Iyo Sky. The results of these matches will determine who competes in the Elimination Chamber for a shot at championship gold at WrestleMania.
John Cena also made headlines, announcing his participation in the Elimination Chamber. Cena, aiming for his 17th world championship, vowed to main event his final WrestleMania. “I’m not doing this for myself,” Cena said. “I’m doing it to shake the hand of the person who someday wins an 18th world championship.”
The night also featured a thrilling match between Penta and Ludwig Kaiser, with Penta securing a hard-fought victory via the Penta Driver. Post-match, Pete Dunne ambushed Penta, setting the stage for future rivalries.
In the Judgment Day clubhouse, Finn Balor expressed frustration over JD McDonagh’s injury, blaming Dominik Mysterio for the mishap. Liv Morgan defended Dominik, emphasizing the importance of their upcoming Elimination Chamber qualifiers.
Charlotte Flair made a dramatic entrance, signaling her intentions to dominate the women’s division. With WrestleMania on the horizon, the stakes are higher than ever as WWE’s top stars vie for championship glory.
