WWE’s Tiffany Stratton Calls WrestleMania 41 Her ‘Olympic Debut’

LAS VEGAS, April 18, 2025 — WWE Superstar Tiffany Stratton is poised to make a statement at this weekend’s WrestleMania 41, viewing it as her personal “Olympic debut” after her journey through gymnastics was cut short by injury.
Stratton, who suffered a serious foot injury in 2017, reflected on her transition from gymnastics to professional wrestling during an interview with PEOPLE. “When I do something, I do it. I want to do it at the highest level. I want to reach the elite. For me, gymnastics didn’t work out. I got injured, and unfortunately, I had to quit,” she said.
At just 25 years old, Stratton, born Jessica Woynilko, has risen through the ranks of WWE since signing in 2021. “Then I took up wrestling. My goal, along with everybody else when they get signed, is to go to WrestleMania. So for me, this is my Olympic moment. It’s my Olympic debut, I guess you could say. This has always been the goal once I got into wrestling,” she added.
Prior to her WWE career, Stratton showcased her talents as a mini-double bronze medalist at the U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. Her gymnastics aspirations ended abruptly when she faced significant challenges due to her injury.
“I was always kind of like the problem child on the gymnastics team. I was always arguing with my coaches. I have a big personality. I’m not one that shuts up,” she explained, shedding light on her dynamic nature that ultimately found its home in professional wrestling.
During Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium, which takes place on April 19, Stratton will defend her title against WWE legend Charlotte Flair. The competition has become increasingly intense as both athletes prepare for the spotlight.
In a heartwarming gesture ahead of WrestleMania, Stratton and fellow wrestler Braun Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) surprised 25 children as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The duo presented the children with authentic WWE-Fanatics title belts, creating memorable moments as each child received a wrestling entrance reminiscent of WWE events.
“I’m getting emotional now. It’s definitely so inspiring to see all these kids just kind of coming out of their shells. You can tell it’s hard for them, so it’s so inspiring. It makes me feel like all my problems are little compared to the kids and what they have to go through,” Stratton shared as she reflected on the event’s emotional impact.
As excitement builds for WrestleMania 41, both fans and athletes prepare for an unforgettable experience at Allegiant Stadium, marking a significant milestone for Stratton as she prepares to showcase her skills under the bright lights of professional wrestling.
WrestleMania 41 continues on Sunday, April 20, 2025, featuring numerous matches that highlight the rising talent in the WWE.
