STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE officials are reportedly discussing a high-stakes singles match between Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair for WrestleMania 41 in April, reigniting a rivalry that dates back to their NXT days. The potential showdown comes as Ripley, the reigning Women’s World Champion, continues her dominant run following victories over Liv Morgan and Nia Jax.

Ripley and Belair last faced off in a singles match during a 2022 gauntlet bout, but their history traces back to NXT TakeOver: Portland in 2020. Ripley has publicly expressed her desire for a rematch, telling Sportskeeda in August 2023 that a clash with Belair would be “WrestleMania-worthy.” With Ripley’s championship reign in full swing, WWE appears to be laying the groundwork for a fresh storyline leading into the marquee event.

Meanwhile, veteran announcer Corey Graves has addressed his recent demotion from the Raw broadcast team. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Graves still has two years remaining on his WWE contract. Graves, who was moved to NXT following Raw’s transition to Netflix, expressed frustration in a since-deleted social media post, hinting at being “not famous enough” for his previous role. However, he has since returned to NXT, where colleague Vic Joseph assured fans that Graves’ presence is genuine, quipping, “This isn’t AI.”

In other news, speculation is mounting over potential surprise appearances at this year’s Royal Rumble. With WWE’s recent partnership with TNA Wrestling, fans are hopeful that TNA star Joe Hendry could make a splash in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Hendry, who has gained popularity for his charismatic persona, expressed enthusiasm about the possibility during an interview, stating, “Anywhere, anytime, any show.” His upcoming appearance at Wrestlecon Indianapolis, coinciding with the Royal Rumble, has only fueled speculation.

Additionally, Charlotte Flair‘s return to WWE programming has sparked discussions about her WrestleMania 41 plans. Flair, who has been sidelined with a serious injury since December 2023, recently declared her participation in the Royal Rumble. Reports suggest that a match between Flair and current WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is being considered for WrestleMania. Stratton, often compared to Flair, has cited “The Queen” as a major inspiration for her wrestling career.

As WrestleMania 41 approaches, WWE continues to build anticipation with potential dream matches and surprise appearances, ensuring fans remain engaged in the evolving storylines.
