Xander Zayas Boxing Bad Bunny Marketing Deal

Sunrise, Florida — Xander Zayas, the youngest world champion in boxing at 23, is gearing up for a breakthrough year in 2026 after signing a marketing deal with Rimas Sports. This partnership creates new opportunities for Zayas, known for his boxing skills and dedication to his Puerto Rican heritage.

Zayas, who holds a record of 22 wins and 0 losses, mentioned to ESPN, “The publicity and marketing deal I just signed is to bring opportunities outside of the ring that I probably wasn’t getting before. Everybody knows what I can do in the ring, but this deal is huge for me as I plan to elevate my career outside of just boxing.”

Rimas Sports is co-owned by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and has a reputation for representing top Latin American athletes, including MLB stars Ronald Acuña Jr. and Fernando Tatis Jr. The firm aims to secure sponsorships and commercial partnerships, allowing Zayas to focus on his fighting career while expanding his brand.

Peter Kahn, Zayas’ manager, expressed excitement about the deal, stating, “This relationship with Rimas Sports is something that Xander had created organically over the past several years. We now have the biggest Latino musician in the world who has Puerto Rican pride and wants to guide these athletes.”

As Zayas looks ahead, he aims to fight three times in 2026, with plans for bouts starting in January, coinciding with Puerto Rican Day celebrations, and two more events throughout the year. He confirmed, “[Top Rank] said they would like me to fight three times next year.”

Negotiations are underway for a unification fight between Zayas and WBA champion Abass Baraou, potentially scheduled for January in Puerto Rico. Although Zayas had hoped for a fight in December against rival Vergil Ortiz, talks have not materialized. Both fighters have exchanged words on social media regarding their potential matchup.

Zayas is optimistic about the future, saying, “That could be the fight. We’ll see where the year takes us. I ain’t scared of him, and I know he isn’t scared of me. It just has to be the right business deal for both of us.”
