Pearle Peterson Singing National Anthem At World Series

Pearle Peterson, a 19-year-old from Sequim, Washington, has been selected to perform the National Anthem before Game 2 of the 2024 World Series. This will be her second time singing at a Major League Baseball World Series event, following her appearance at the 2023 World Series where she represented the Boys and Girls Club of America as the National Youth Talent Performer.

Peterson has a strong musical background, having participated in school musicals and performed at her local Boys and Girls Club in Sequim. She is currently attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she is studying lyrical theater and working towards a bachelor’s degree in music arts.

The performance will take place on Saturday, October 26, at 5:08 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium, as the Los Angeles Dodgers face off against the New York Yankees. The pregame ceremony will also feature Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier for the ceremonial first pitch honors.

Peterson’s selection follows a memorable Game 1, where singer-songwriter Brad Paisley performed the National Anthem and Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers hit the first game-ending grand slam in World Series history to secure a 6-3 victory over the Yankees.
