YouTube Star Cleetus McFarland Set for ARCA Debut at Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Garrett Mitchell, known to millions as Cleetus McFarland on YouTube, is stepping out from behind the camera for his highly anticipated debut in the ARCA Menards Series at the Chili’s Ride the ‘Dente 200 this Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.
The Omaha, Nebraska native has built a massive following with his automotive content, but the leap to professional racing comes with both excitement and challenges. With support and guidance from NASCAR veteran Greg Biffle, McFarland aims to prove himself on the track.
After receiving approval from the ARCA Menards Series, McFarland participated in the preseason practice session at the iconic 2.5-mile superspeedway, where he earned his superspeedway license. He secured the driver seat of Rette Jones Racing’s No. 30 Ford Mustang.
“This is surreal for me,” McFarland said. “I’m incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to return to Daytona and compete in ARCA. I appreciate all the support from my friends, family, colleagues, and particularly the Rette Jones Racing team for walking through every step of this journey.”
McFarland made a strong impression during practice, clocking in around the top-10 before finishing 15th overall. His preparation has included extensive study and practice designed to enhance his skills as he gears up for the 80-lap race.
His journey into professional racing will be supported by Kenetik, a ketone-based drink aimed at boosting mental clarity and energy. McFarland shares his enthusiasm for having the brand onboard: “I don’t know what is going to happen on Saturday during the race, but I certainly plan to race smart and make my ARCA Menards Series debut a successful one.”
Mark Rette, co-owner of Rette Jones Racing, expressed confidence in McFarland’s ability to adapt to the fast-paced world of superspeedway racing. “We are pleased to welcome Cleetus and Kenetik to the family and look forward to growing our relationship in the future,” Rette said. He noted McFarland’s quick learning and attentiveness during practice.
McFarland will also have a teammate, Kyle Steckly, who is set to provide additional support as both drivers strive for a strong performance in the series opener.
Biffle, who has a distinguished history at Daytona, is also attending the event to lend his expertise as McFarland embarks on this new chapter.
The Chili’s Ride the ‘Dente 200 marks the first of 20 races in the 2025 ARCA Menards Series schedule. Practice sessions will begin on Thursday, with the race set to start shortly after noon ET on Saturday. The event will be broadcast live on FOX, with radio coverage provided by the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM.
