Zack Moss and Chase Brown: Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 6
Zack Moss, the lead running back for the Cincinnati Bengals, continues to be a significant factor in the team’s offense despite sharing snaps with Chase Brown. In the recent game against the Panthers, Moss ran for 51 yards on 15 carries and caught all four of his targets for 27 yards, including a touchdown. This performance underscores his consistent role in the backfield, where he has played at least 60% of the snaps in every game this season.
Moss’s fantasy value remains solid, particularly as a RB3 option. He has had three top-24 finishes in five games this season, and his involvement in the passing game has been notable, with at least a 10% target share in all but one game. However, he did suffer an ankle injury in Week 5, although it is not expected to limit his participation in the upcoming game against the New York Giants.
The upcoming matchup against the Giants presents an interesting scenario. While the Giants defense has been strong against the run, they will be without Kayvon Thibodeaux, which could slightly favor the Bengals’ running game. Moss is still recommended as a start, given the Bengals’ high-powered offense led by Joe Burrow.
Chase Brown, on the other hand, has been increasingly involved in the offense and has shown explosive potential. Despite a recent quad injury that made him questionable, Brown is expected to play in Week 6 and could see an increased workload. His performance in Weeks 4 and 5, where he finished as RB6 and RB13 respectively, highlights his growing importance and higher upside compared to Moss.
The split backfield between Moss and Brown means both players are viable fantasy options, especially during bye weeks and injuries around the league. However, Brown’s increasing role and explosive playmaking ability make him a stronger option with higher upside for fantasy managers.
