Zelina Vega Dismisses Rumors of Feud with Mercedes Moné

Los Angeles, California – WWE‘s Zelina Vega has cleared the air regarding rumors of a feud with fellow wrestler Mercedes Moné. Appearing on the “Ring The Bell” podcast, Vega expressed amusement at the idea that she and Moné had ongoing real-life heat.
When host DS Shin mentioned the speculation, Vega emphasized, “So stupid. Oh my god, but it’s like a whole discussion, dude.” She recounted how she and Jade Cargill, another wrestler, discussed the chatter about them. “We were laughing, like, we didn’t think people were gonna take it that serious,” Vega added.
Vega explained that an old interview where she expressed her desire to work with Moné led to misinterpretations. She said, “People use that clip as, like, ‘Oh my god. They’ve had beef forever.’” According to Vega, her intention was to convey admiration for Moné’s talent, not to imply any animosity.
“My brain was, I need to get to WWE any way possible. She’s one of the top girls. I want to get in the ring with her,” Vega shared. She reiterated that there has never been any issue between them.
<p"It’s so funny to me that I’m the common denominator between all of the beef, apparently," Vega laughed. She critiqued the absurdity of fans searching for connections to fuel rumors, citing instances like shared training connections among their families.
Vega concluded, “If I genuinely hated somebody, you think I’d be cool with that? Come on, come on. Be so for real.” Her comments aim to put an end to speculation fans may have had.
