Zonovan Knight Arizona Cardinals Running Back

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Arizona Cardinals running back Zonovan “Bam” Knight is set to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 after being removed from the injury report. Knight was previously listed as questionable due to an ankle sprain but proved his readiness by participating fully in practice this week.

The Cardinals have faced significant challenges in their backfield this season. With starting running back James Conner out for the season and Trey Benson on injured reserve since Week 4 with a knee injury, Knight has stepped up significantly. He has shared the backfield duties in recent weeks with Michael Carter and Emari Demercado, who is also out for this week’s game.

In his performance this season, Knight has recorded 53 carries for 181 yards and three touchdowns, along with 12 receptions for 86 yards. His role has expanded, especially after scoring a touchdown last week against the 49ers, where he played 40.5 percent of the snaps despite limited touches.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon praised Knight’s work ethic and adaptability. “He’s been a valuable asset to our offense, and we expect him to carry a heavier workload with our other backs injured,” Gannon said. With the Jaguars allowing 4.0 yards per carry this season, Knight’s presence in the lineup will be crucial as the Cardinals look to improve their rushing attack, currently ranked 24th in the league.

As Knight prepares for the game, he is considered a strong candidate for prop bets, especially given the likelihood that he will see increased carries this Sunday. The odds of him scoring again sit at +135, reflecting confidence in his ability to find the end zone once more.

Meanwhile, Benson, although practicing in a limited capacity, has been ruled out for this matchup, though his return appears imminent. His progress may shift the backfield dynamics significantly once he is back in action.
