Rain Forecasted for Ireland After Warm Weather

DUBLIN, Ireland — A weather map indicates that rainfall will return to Ireland after a period of warm and settled conditions. According to Met Eireann, the country has experienced clear skies and rising temperatures, but this pleasant weather may not last long.
Forecasts suggest that temperatures will remain in the high teens to low twenties early next week. However, WX Charts, a weather forecasting website, projects rain will arrive around Thursday, May 22. Met Eireann confirmed that low pressure will likely dominate, leading to above-average rainfall between Monday, May 26, and Sunday, June 1.
“Rainfall amounts are indicating a slightly wetter than average week, while there is a signal for mean air temperatures to remain above average for this time of year,” Met.ie stated.
Looking further ahead, from Monday, June 2, to Sunday, June 8, unsettled weather is expected to continue. “Current indications suggest conditions will remain unsettled with the persistence of a slight signal for low pressure,” the forecaster noted.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather remarked, “This fine settled spell of weather could change around the 23rd, but there is still a lot of uncertainty.”
Additionally, from Monday, June 9, to Sunday, June 15, there is also a possibility of higher than average rainfall in various regions. Met Eireann advises that there is no definitive signal for either high or low pressure for that week, but temperatures are expected to remain warmer than average.
“There is a suggestion for higher than average rainfall amounts along Atlantic coasts, with normal amounts elsewhere,” the forecast indicated.
