ACC Baseball Championship Bracket Released for 2025 Tournament

PITTSBURGH, PA — The bracket for the 2025 ACC Baseball Championship was unveiled on Saturday evening, following the conclusion of the regular season. The 15-seeded Pittsburgh Panthers will face the 10-seeded Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday, May 20, at 5 PM at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

This matchup is notable as the Panthers and Cardinals last met in the pool play round of the 2022 ACC Baseball Championship, where Pitt secured a dramatic 6-5 victory on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Panthers have historically performed well against Louisville, winning three of their last four encounters.

The 2025 tournament features a new single-elimination format, allowing all 16 ACC teams to compete. The top four seeds, determined by their regular-season performance, will receive a double-bye into the quarterfinals set for May 22-23.

The complete schedule for the opening round on May 20 includes four games: Game 1 – No. 16 California vs. No. 9 Miami at 9 AM; Game 2 – No. 12 Virginia Tech vs. No. 13 Stanford at 1 PM; Game 3 – No. 15 Pitt vs. No. 10 Louisville at 5 PM; and Game 4 – No. 14 Boston College vs. No. 11 Notre Dame at 9 PM.

Quarterfinal games will commence on May 22 and 23, leading up to the semifinals on Saturday, May 24. The championship game will take place on Sunday, May 25, and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

This year marks the 14th occasion Durham Bulls Athletic Park will host the ACC Baseball Championship since first serving as the venue in 1984. The tournament has seen a shift to this new structure after the ACC expanded to include additional programs in the previous summer.

Fans can expect a competitive tournament as the standings show tight competition for the regular-season championship between Georgia Tech, Florida State, and North Carolina.
