Uzi Inducted Into League of Legends Hall of Legends

Shanghai, China — Riot Games announced on May 20, 2025, that Jian Zihao, known by his gaming alias Uzi, will be inducted into its Hall of Legends. Uzi is the second player ever to receive this honor, following Lee Sang-hyeok, who is popularly known as Faker.
The Hall of Legends recognizes players whose contributions have significantly impacted the global League of Legends Esports landscape. Uzi is widely regarded as one of the top bottom-lane players in the game’s history, known for his sharp skills and aggressive playstyle. His performance has greatly enhanced the visibility of China’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL) worldwide.
Uzi gained popularity with Royal Club, leading the team to the World Championship finals in both 2013 and 2014. He later joined Royal Never Give Up (RNG) from 2016 to 2020, an era where he qualified for Worlds six times, achieving quarterfinals or better in four of those tournaments.
The peak of Uzi’s career came in 2018 when RNG clinched both the LPL Spring and Summer titles and won the Mid-Season Invitational. He also earned a gold medal for China at the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games that year. However, despite his success, RNG was eliminated from the World Championship in the quarterfinals, missing out on a complete sweep of major titles in a single season.
Uzi’s formal induction will take place on June 6, 2025, in Shanghai. During the ceremony, Mercedes-Benz will unveil original artwork in his honor and present him with a customized G-Class vehicle equipped with EQ technology. To further celebrate his career, an in-game event will start on June 12, offering a special themed event pass and exclusive skins inspired by Uzi.
“Uzi’s legacy extends beyond his titles; he transformed the perception of the bot lane role in League of Legends Esports. His passion has inspired millions,” said a Riot Games representative. “It’s clear he made a significant impact in the world of League of Legends, and we are proud to welcome him into the Hall of Legends.”
