Iheanacho Offensive Tackle Recruitment

Baltimore, MD – Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Iheanacho from Georgetown Preparatory School has trimmed his college recruitment list to four schools: Auburn, LSU, Oregon, and Penn State. The 2026 prospect, ranked No. 2 among offensive tackles nationally by On3, revealed his finalists to Hayes Fawcett on Friday.

Measuring 6-foot-6 1/2 and weighing 350 pounds, Iheanacho visited LSU last weekend and is set to visit Auburn this weekend. He will then check out Penn State on June 13 and Oregon on June 20. Iheanacho plans to announce his commitment on August 5.

Prior to beginning his official visits, Iheanacho shared with On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons that Oregon was his current leader. “Oregon is the top school, but these official visits will play a big part in my final decision,” he said. Iheanacho expressed strong ties to the Oregon coaching staff, whom he feels he can connect with on a personal level.

Despite leading in his recruitment, Iheanacho acknowledged that LSU made a significant impression during his recent visit. “This visit really helped LSU. LSU is right there with Oregon after this visit. It is a great place,” he said.

Iheanacho’s recruitment comes amid a puzzling cycle for Oregon’s offensive line, having lost previous commitments. The Ducks currently do not have a commitment from any offensive lineman in the 2026 class.

As his recruitment continues, Iheanacho recognizes the importance of each visit. He commented on his upcoming Auburn visit, noting his admiration for Coach Hugh Freeze and his familiarity with players from Baltimore now on the team.

“Penn State has been heavily recruiting me from the beginning, and I’ve built strong relationships with Coach Trautwein and Coach Poindexter,” said Iheanacho, highlighting how close the school is to his home.

The official visits are crucial as Iheanacho weighs his options. With a commitment date set for August 5, the next few weeks are critical for all schools involved.
