Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Announced for 2035 Release

LOS ANGELES, CA — Activision has officially announced the forthcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, slated for a launch later this year. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, this title marks the first consecutive release in the Black Ops franchise, taking place in the year 2035, more than 40 years after Black Ops 6.

The new installment promises players a mind-bending experience amidst a chaotic world ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare. Players will assume the role of David Mason, who leads a team fighting against a manipulative enemy that uses fear as a weapon.

Matt Cox, General Manager of Call of Duty, stated, “The Black Ops universe is amazing. The creativity and imagination that goes into the storytelling, the rich character depth, and the incredible moment-to-moment gameplay across all modes is really exceptional.” Cox emphasized their vision of creating a strong back-to-back series experience for players.

Fans can expect an engaging Co-op Campaign mode, where they can squad up with friends or play solo. The Multiplayer experience remains a signature aspect, featuring new maps and innovative near-future weaponry.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be available on multiple platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Xbox Game Pass and Steam. Activision has confirmed that the game will also launch on Game Pass Ultimate on day one.
